I recently purchased a pair of Uni-Fi UB5 speakers after reading all the great reviews. Sadly, they turned out to be too big for my space/set up and I find myself with the need to purchase a set of floor stands.
What speaker stands would you recommend?
I personally think that stands really don’t make much of a difference as long as they are heavy, stable and are able to absorb some of the vibrations. So for me, the cheaper, the better, provided they’re solidly built.
I find that the Sanus SF26 are sufficiently sturdy for the job.
I received the DRPRO SMS1BK yesterday and they are quite sturdy even w/o shot or sand filler and the stand plate fits the speakers very well.
Fit/finish leaves something to be desired for something that’s almost twice as much as the cheapest Sanus I was using before but these are great for a 36″ application.
