Where Sound Meets Nature: ELAC Partners with Fort Treehouse at Hårtwood

At ELAC, we believe that great sound belongs in thoughtful spaces — places where design, environment, and experience come together. That’s why we’re thrilled to share our recent collaboration with Fort Treehouse Co., bringing intentional listening to a one-of-a-kind destination deep in the woods of Ontario, Canada.

Nestled in the Haliburton Highlands, Hårtwood — Fort Treehouse’s flagship property — is a boutique, off-grid treehouse hotel that reimagines how we connect with nature through architecture, sustainability, and design. Surrounded by a protected 500-acre nature reserve and rooted in minimalist, immersive design, Hårtwood invites guests to slow down, reset, and experience place with all their senses.

As part of this collaboration, we installed ELAC Adsum ConneX speakers alongside the Miracord 50 turntable inside each of the three architectural treehouses. These integrated vinyl audio setups were selected and designed to complement the natural materials, light, and stillness of the spaces — all while delivering refined, intentional sound that enhances every moment of a stay.

Whether it’s the warm crackle of a favourite record accompanying morning light through forest canopies, or a quiet evening listening session after a day of exploring, this setup brings the joy of intentional listening into a place built for presence and calm.

Fort Treehouse’s emphasis on low-impact design, sustainable technology, and connection to the wild aligns with ELAC’s own values of craftsmanship and purposeful performance. Together, we’ve created an experience where design, sound, and nature meet — inviting guests not just to hear sound, but to feel it within the forest.
